Basic Demographics
Last revised 9 February 2020
I have done three basic pieces of data analysis. My family tree does not really give a sample size which can be called statistically significant but it is hopefully large enough to be indicative!
1. Population growth of the Brachers in my family tree by decade.
2. Number of children based on baptism records. The strange dip shown for couples which had only 2 children is unexplained - is it a real phenomenon or an artefact of my analysis or simply an error on my part! I have not included the number of childless couples as it is not certain whether they were childless or merely moved out of parish such that I have been unable to track them.
3. Age-at-death based on baptism/birth and burial/death parish records. As I don't track female Brachers once they have married, this graph is predominantly men.
